Don’t panic people. We signed our best ever centre back the day before the season started one year. He made his football league debut with us and his last football league match with us. In-between he went on to play in the Premier League and made the full England squad.
Some block called Amalfi Awesome I believe his name was.

Presumably because he’s a very wooden man. If we are to believe that pre-season indicates our intended playing style this season, then we need agile defenders who can play out. That’s not Sonny’s game.

FWIW Oshilaja was awesome against us last year. An absolute rock. I do believe he didn’t perform too shabbily at their end-of-term prize giving, either. Experienced, at 32. Wise old head amongst the new spring chickens would be no bad thing. Passes the @micra test as he’s over 6ft… What’s not to like?

no thanks , does not fit the bell, this would be a massively uninspiring signing especially when linked with players like Connel and Taylor…look at other clubs in the mix, making big and proven signings , pull your finger out Rice and get the good ones not jouneymen like this guy

I suppose I am one of those who ‘dip in’ from time to time. For what it’s worth I am looking forward to the coming season and WW demonstrating they are a team clearly above the rest. As a 78 year old still standing on the terrace I want to see us promoted before it is too late (for me!)

I’m guessing you’re either Malone or someone else operating under a new username as it’s years since Malone insisted that I was obsessed with player’ heights. I think he actually said men’s height which felt a bit creepy.
