Seat Cleaning at Adams Park

The players are back for preseason, the stadium is being prepped so it’s ready for you, our fans and now we need your help.

Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust are inviting fans to join two seat-cleaning sessions at Adams Park to help get the stadium ready for the start of the 2026/27 campaign. Supporters will be tackling the 8,000+ seats at the ground with a bucket and sponge on July 22nd and July 28th (from 9.30am onwards).

Fans are welcome at any time on either/both those days, however much time you are able to give. The club will provide cleaning equipment and drinks, and sandwiches.

If you are able to help and I hope you can, please email Trust director Nigel Kingston on nigemart2019@gmail.com to let me know which day/time you are able to join us. Pre-registration is required for health and safety signing-in reasons.

Genuine question, is there a reason the owner can’t pay cleaners for this?

It is something the Trust has always done, gives you an opportunity to help out, the same with all the volunteers that help maintain AP and the grounds.
It’s a fun day and you get to see “behind the scenes” so to speak at AP. Plus and this is a BIG plus, you’ll get to meet me and some other Gasroomers there.

I would presume they can. But, sometimes people want to feel like tgey give a little extra to the club.

And, that is not a bad thing, surely?

I never said it was a bad thing, I was genuinely curious! Although after some of my fellow Gasroomers have called me a tosser and a fascist, I might have to turn up under a different name

I was hoping to drum up some support for the Trust seat cleaning activities, let’s keep the for/against the OG to other threads please.

@James I recall you mentioned last year that you would be participating, don’t think I met you or at least went under an alias…going to come along this year?

Sadly busy on both days - so not for me.

I’ve never done the seat cleaning but I did help out weeding and tidying up the car park one year, it was not only good fun but did get to meet some folk I probably wouldn’t otherwise.

A bit far to come for me unfortunately but this is a wonderful tradition for those who can attend.

It isn’t much and it really can help connect more as a supporter.

But no judgement on those who choose not to attend

On holiday in Northumberland otherwise I might well have given this a go.

I’ll wipe down the beer garden bench in solidarity.

(What am I saying, it’s Northumberland, I’ll be looking at the rain from inside the pub)

Can’t believe anyone has a problem with this. I’d love to be there if I wasn’t several thousand miles away.

Lest we forget the ground is owned by the Trust, albeit leased (full repairing basis?) to the Club, so surely its the supporters doing their bit to maintain their asset.

True, but I believe the club are responsible for maintenance and have a facilities management provider in place

Indeed I understand it is a full repairing lease so the tenant is responsible for maintenance & repairs; but it doesn’t detract from the supporters being involved in this for all the myriad of reasons posted so far in this thread.
