Come back when the season is over. This type of speculation always starts too early with only speculative information

For me and I’m sure many others, the season is over. Time to discuss summer on an online forum, even if the information is speculative

Agreed.

We’ll have a tonne load of threads about other stuff the second the season ends.

Around how are we going to ship off some of the huge signings on massive wages in order to make space for the legendary striker, keeper and centre back who will send us to promotion.

Also power stations.

I hope.

And a few world cup posts, although we’ll be relying on the retired peeps with some of those ludicrous kick off times.

Still thinking a major rebuild is required next season to challenge firmly for the top 2 auto places.

I think he should but I dont think they manager likes him. He regularly plays Harris out of position wide left over him.

You can’t just release players under contract.

Without knowing who is fully out of contract its hard to tell. But those likely up will all go, unfortunately expect that to be Vidigal.

I think focus will be on CF/Am wide players, and maybe a right back.

I dont think we have many to actually get rid of.

You can if you pay up their contracts. I would certainly do that with Lowry, Fink, Allen and Norris. I accept this would have an adverse affect on the League financial regulations.

You would just chuck £1 million to Bradley Fink to get him gone?

The players you’d “release” are all players who could be transferred.

Who’s going to pay money for Fink?

This retired peep will be safely tucked up in bed long before the games start.

Agree with this. But silly to think we will release players we signed for cash in the summer of 2025.

You cannot release a player under contract unless its mutual termination and agreed fee to do so. Most likely coming out our transfer budget/increased loss not trying to sell those still under contract or loan them out with wages being paid.

Another club hyping data as something new?

Slough Town

Controversial take, but I wouldn’t release any of them (contracted players obviously) Releasing everyone seems very stick - I would like to dangle a carrots and have a, perhaps, bigger stick.

I would have a grown up discussion with them and talk about the need for them to show the ability and mentality required to remain with our first team, or they can find themselves another club and we’ll have £0 price tag, or they can go train at Heathrow and find themselves not named in next seasons squad.

The players that want to be first team players and show the mentality required, can stay at marlow Road and train at the ground we have (apparently) had international visitors to in recent weeks (Would love to have that nugget of info expanded on btw. Who, what why etc) while the others aren’t near the 1st team environment.

For any under 21 aged players, it leaves them a bigger door to get back into the 1st team than over 21’s in that you don’t need to name them and they may mature and see the opportunities they have. Over 21s need to think about their long term careers.

We have the luxury, currently, of an excellent 1st team training location and a good second location. Use it to the club and 1st teams advantage while giving those exiled the tools to train to a decent level still, if they had the motivation to do so.

Preseason will be a football version of the hunger games. 1st team lives and stays on at Marlow Road.
