Not easy to find out when players are injured but I reckon possibly half those 15 he was injured, meaning 6 games he was on the subs bench but unused and 7 did not even make the squad when fit.
Unless it’s Richard Kone I suppose.

You don’t know the sums involved, what if Tilley cost us 150k altogether with fees and wages, then we sold him for 30k is that still a good deal done by us?

The boy Lowry has a lot of potential if he can realise what it takes to be a professional footballer. I’m surprised he’s not out on loan yet, so maybe Duff is going to give him the pre-season games to make an impact. Shape up or ship out.

I think it is you who misses the point.You don’t know the sums either ( rejecting 2 offers suggests it was not as low as £30k though).
The point is that normally if a club gets a player in for free and then ends up having to loan them out the player ends up leaving on a free.
Even if it were only £30k it’s £30k more than a club would normally benefit from in the circumstances. £30k,£50k or £100k is better than £0k whether it ends up a net profit or not.
The fact he held on ,rejected 2 bids and agreed a third ( either making the club some money,breaking even,or just limiting the loss ) deserves some credit imo.

I love lowry. I think hes a real lower league footballer. Loads of talent, looks comfortable on the ball. But frequently makes the wrong choice and has a seemingly attitude issue.
Still sometimes a player id rather watch than a workman with no flair. But thats just me.

I think everyone on here would have been somewhat surprised that we got money for him. I think this shows that the management are acting much more professionally now, as opposed to the chaos of last year.

Im just talking about what I like to watch. No idea about the dressing room.
Actually looking back on a similar case, I used to love watching Dean Morgan who was allegedly difficult to manage.

And even more key - Bloomfield had previously been working with him at Colchester but wasn’t able to sign him because of the work permit issue, then at Wycombe Rob Couhig, Scott Mitchell and Bloomfield worked incredibly hard to help him solve the work permit thing and had him training at the club with the first team players for several months before they were even allowed to sign him.
I realise I’m probably going to get banned for mentioning Bloomfield now.
