Summer 2026 transfer window

No alas, alack or lacksadaisy needed!

It’s just that I recently “befriended” a guy on Dave Gardner’s Facebook page called Neil Summers who has longstanding connections with Wanderers, including family members (different surnames) who have played for the club. He now lives in North Yorkshire. Like you, he writes interestingly and well, unusually so for Facebook, and the Gasroom is a small world so I thought I’d chance my arm.

I’m hopeless on relationships including when to refer to mrs micra as Gran, mum or Sheelah so I may have got this wrong but is our 20 year old loan signing from Stoke City really already married? I’m fairly sure he’d need to be to have a father-in-law.

I vaguely remember the controversial circumstances surrounding Michael Duff’s “departure” from Huddersfield but I know (well heard) that many fans thought he’d been hard done by.

That makes sense. I thought you might have been implying I was a certain Neil who wrote a Wanderers book given my support for Gaz. I can assue you I’m not a Daily Mail reader let alone writer.

I dunno. I must be doting. It’s taken me over two hours to “get” that one.

Oh, good heavens, no. No, no, no.

I have to live with that rag coming through the letterbox at all hours of the night. I shouldn’t even look at the front page headlines but it’s hard to avoid them. mrs micra is more or less oblivious to the proprietorial political shenanigans, I think. She’s probably right to avoid the subject, something I have to do with my darling daughter.

Far too much information!!

Surely you refer to mrs micra as “the boss”.

@micra, I don’t know why you are getting so exercised about the Mail.

It’s a right-leaning paper, so they are going to print positive stories / opinion pieces about parties on the right, and negative stuff about parties on the left.

The Guardian does exactly the same, except the other way around.

AI really is very realistic these days

Lowry is a sub for Motherwell

Hope to see him!

Poor scuffed shot well wide by Nathan Lowe.

Jordan Obita?

Right leaning? I reckon it fell over but I’m too polite to suggest what it might have fallen into!

Nobody said anything about liking the Guardian

Yes, I remember. Did alright as a left wingback for us for a couple of seasons. Very prominent for Hibernian so far.

I know Nathan Lowe is a day older than Emre Tezgel but, if he can start for Premiership Hibernian, I see no reason why Emre can’t start for us.

72 new posts on the transfer thread…did we sign that 20+ goals a season striker? Alas no.

No need to worry though, as I said we’re gonna piss the league this year.

He’s on for the last 15 minutes

That’s how he self-described. I didn’t interrogate him as to their exact legal status.

And involved in the goal. Good play aswell
