It’s the 1st June! Which means it’s fixture release month. Roll on 25th June!

Oxford or Franchise first up for me please, home or away.

Looking forward to ticking off Bromley this season as well.

Leicester for me before they get organised in their new surroundings.

Didn’t we say that about Bradford last season?

For the last 2 seasons we have had an away game as our first game of the season. I think this will continue into this season as well.

Yep I travelled up to Bradford that day, full of hope. Was hotter than the sun that day as well.

Jellis and Rice don’t really go together

Rice pudding and jam was a childhood staple.

Still is for me! Although I like a few raisins in mine as well.

Back in the 70’s our school used to give either a blob of Jam or chocolate cream in our rice pudding or Tapioca.

The seventies were a bit shit though weren’t they.

I can remember their being a lengthy canteen staff strike, and all the food was being cooked at one or two places, one being Castlefield school. The culinary standards went up.

Almost up there with pink custard and chocolate concrete*

*I am relying on my wife’s word for that as I was in my 30s before I was introduced to the latter. She reliably informs me it was a school dinners favourite up here. I can certainly see that

The pink custard was fantastic, but my favourite was the lemon sauce. Which was basically a thin lemon custard, it was divine.

Must have been St Mary’s Beaconsfield.

There was also a mint green custard that went with the concrete pudding.
Then the nod to modernity- coffee served with pudding. Only problem we only had brass metal cups so you had to wrap your tie round the beaker to drink it!

Said tie. Guess the school.

some of the comments on here are nothing to do with the group…take thos boring school stuff to another chat !
