Looks like a unit, plenty of experience, 27 so in the prime of his career.
on the face of it…a much better signing than last night …was hoping for either the Walsall or Bristol Rovers CB
He looks to be a BIG centre back - don’t know anything about him so excited to do some research. Hopefully the first of two Irish boys joining us (O’Connor).
Sitting on the fence. Not like you.
Initial look on the Motherwell tweets is he will be sorely missed. Looks like a decent CB and a nice fella to go with it.
Never heard of him, no idea. But again, i see no obvious issues. Unless he is crap.
I’m happy with this signing. Has played against players of a higher standard, came through a good youth set up & is a good age where we can get several seasons out of him.
I’m guessing he’s a centre back?
Obviously Sonny is very, very doubtful for sticking with us; but imagine Sonny and Dan lining up for us next season. Will have centre forwards having nightmares I imagine.
Looks like if Phil Foden ate a few of Alice’s ‘eat me’ cakes
Has a Sunderland youth connection but predating Dodds’s time there
someone unproven in england but has good experience in scotland and looks strong and powerful which are important attirbutes for a CB
all i would say though , they are not statemenr signings in my view.
Kim Casey’s boy?
Another Meh signing. Won’t be the same level as Bradley, Low or Taylor (also significantly shorter). Killian Phillips has done well in Scotland but was poor in league 1.
Hopefully the statement signings are still to come.
Is he the first centre half we’ve signed out of the Scottish league since McCracken?
The way i look at it…if I say these new signings are unimpressive, it means if they are awful, I can say I sort of knew they would be…and no one on here listened to me. If they are good, I can say no one would have predicted that. If I say a signing is brilliant (which let’s face it…I wont be) and he isn’t I can blame the manager and those on here who had their heads up Dodds/Dan Rice/Bloomfield 's arse.
I rather like whoever someone else has signed.
I’m sure there was talk about interest in James Tilley two or three years ago. (Or was it someone else from Wimbledon?).
If so it’s more reassuring that we have not completely moved on from the way we used to do transfers.
I’m actually quite pleased.
Not writing him off as plenty of Motherwell fans were sad to see him go we will see, varying standards of teams in the scottish premiership but at least he is used to high pressure when playing at rangers and celtic .
