The old adage that these things even themselves out over the season is probably applicable here. What’s the alternative, VAR? I don’t want that at our level.

I was watching the referee who gave us the throw and not the linesman, but if it was the linesman on the same side of the pitch that altered the decision why did the refund the players run across to the linesman on the other side of the ground and conference with him?
The football league admitted that they breached protocol by overturning a decision once the ball is back in play. Making a mistake is acceptable but also breaching protocol is not.

As I said earlier, the Referee & Assistant’s season is done. They will be fighting to stop themselves from being demoted this season
That ref Scott Jackson hasn’t reffed since. I’m uncomfortable with that.
As much as I’m pissed off with the decision, I fail to see what benefit effectively sacking a ref does. Better learning a far better approach. Everyone makes mistakes.

I completely agree with you but it shows the cut-throat nature of the FA / PGMOL. All of the PL referees are yearly rolling contracts, if they get a contract, they have to continue proving that they earn a new one. If they make a mistake, they are moved aside and someone else gets the opportunity.
And they wonder why grassroots is struggling for Referee’s?
