I think and hope Rice will be sacked come the end of this season.
I think Rice’s future depends on the academy. If that is seen as succeeding and fulfilling Lomtadze’s vision of developing Kazak football and he sees Rice as integral to it, his job is safe.
If the academy fails it won’t just be Rice leaving Wycombe but ML might just feel the whole thing isn’t worth it.
Should that scenario arise, I really don’t know what will become of our club but I know I won’t stop supporting the Chairboys even if we are playing our games on the Rye in the non-league.
Appreciate the sentiment but suggesting that Rice “drove out’“ last year’s centre backs - two of whom were on loan anyway (Taylor and Bradley) and one had decided he had wanted to leave from January onwards (Low) - is a bit silly. Plus the likes of Vokes and McCleary would’ve been bit part players at best. Good for the dressing room maybe, but you don’t keep players on the books for that reason alone. Lots of things the OG haven’t done right, but none of those decisions are at their door imo.
For me, Rice went some way to regaining a bit of credibility when he hired Duff. For that reason, I think we should give him this window to fix the squad. Get this one wrong, and he needs to be gone.
We are a plaything for a (very) rich man’s son-in-law (possibly just to keep him far out of the way where he can’t do any damage - other than to the credibility of a minor, not particularly well-supported professional football club in a distant country.
As an (alleged) mate of said son-in-law, there is zero possibility of Rice being sacked unless anything the pair of them do reflects badly on ML back home, however much of his loose change he wastes and however much of a shambles the pair of them make of it.
Rice is (or certainly was) demonstrably an unpleasant and incompetent individual in his current role. The best that we can hope for is that somewhere along the way he gains an insight into his uselessness and starts to listen to people who know about how to run a football club.
Duff was a small step in the right direction, but we are a long, long way from being led off the field by someone who knows what’l they are doing.

what has he done for you to hats him so much? you get on your high horse when people slate players or coaches but you do the same with Rice….Double standards?
As a basic, and clearly visible, example of the character of Dan Rice, his continued unwillingness to call Matt Bloomfield by his name - and just refer to him as “the manager” in numerous interviews - is, to my mind at least, disrespectful at best and highly insulting at worst.
A lot of everything else I’ve heard is conjecture (although it fits the known facts so I tend to believe the gist of the narrative), but to me at least I have zero respect for DR as a person because of that behaviour and very little respect for his capabilities as a chair (or whatever he actually is) on the actions he has taken so far given the vast amount of money he has had to play with.
