At the start of the season I was expecting 3 draws,1 win and 1 loss. Beat MK and we are only one point short of that.
Looks like our season will focus on the Berks& Bucks Cup. Lommy will be happy as we are all about the youth team.
Can we recall Fink for the B&B final?

Yes it’s early season but we were given a big handicap by Dodds last year and that might only have been 7 league games if not 8 max?

Dodd’s was sacked after 8 games and 5 points. We need to improve over the next 4 games to reach that target!

The difference this season though is significant. Last year, we looked weak and lacking any cohesion, aside from some small patches of good football. We also had a man in charge with zero success as a manager in men’s football, zero credibility and not a particularly inspiring personality.
This year we have a strong squad, an exlerienced manager, and have played some good football in a decent proportion of the games we’ve played.
Have patience, we’ll be ok and climb the table in no time.

Totally agree, Once we click, we will be a force. Under Dodd’s there was no direction, just pointless posession with no goal threat.

An odd response as it’s quite apparent it is not blind faith. There is evidence we will improve - we have strong, experienced players in all positions now. A strong and experienced coach. And we have played some good football so far this season, and at times outstanding football last season under the same manager. So not exactly ‘blind’ is it!?!
And forget the end of last season for pity’s sake - we had a knackered team after a great run where we relied on a small core of players, then both CB’s injured, played 6 of the top 7 in the last 11 games (mostly away) - and the last 3 matches were dead rubbers. It doesnt suddenly make a manager ‘poor’ or ‘too defensive/cautious’.

But if we now have “strong and experienced players” compared with last season, then surely Duff should be able to coach them to a minimum of an upper mid table position by Christmas. If he doesn’t achieve that then I think his days are numbered or at least they should be.
Hopefully, now we have a proper striker, Duff will be able to get us playing “positive” football alongside improved results.
