The Wanderer Digital Archive - Help Us Complete It

We’re excited to announce that the Gasroom will become the home of a digital archive for The Wanderer, the legendary WWFC fanzine.

Thank you to the WWISC committee for their kind approval, and to Jonny King for supplying PDFs going back to the 2016/17 season (as well as his tireless work as editor during that period!)

The Wanderer has been a huge part of WWFC for decades, is an absolute trove of nostalgia, and will be sorely missed on match days.

The archive will be available to all registered users for now. Due to Discourse limitations, you can read it desktop within your browser, but have to download the PDFs on a mobile device.

We’ll aim to post them regularly during the off-season, to help everyone get through a summer without live football.

However, we need your help.

We’re currently missing all editions prior to the 2016/17 season. We’re keen to preserve a complete collection all the way back to 1996, and avoid it becoming lost media.

We are in touch with previous editors, but its been trickier than perhaps naively anticipated. If you have access to physical editions in good condition, or know anyone who does, please get in touch!

The Wanderer now has its own home on the Gasroom hub:

It features a much nicer PDF reader, for both desktop and mobile. We will continue posting them on the main forum too, so users can discuss the content.
