Why is Dodds still in Charge?

I guarantee that Saturday will be a win, loss or draw.

Chevy Chase Reaction GIF@Malone you have come a long way in life……

All depends on ML’s patience. If rumours are true that he watches every game, then he can’t be happy with what he has seen since Dodds took over. Havwith said that, if he has been told this is just a ‘hiccup’ by Rice then he may well accept this season, to use Dodds’ phrase, as a ‘transition’.

But missing out on the Championship can’t have sat well for him, Academy or no Academy, the Championship brings far more lucrative spoils from financials, marketing, TV exposure and competition.

But we could smash it in League 2 next season!

Last time someone said that on the Gasroom Covid happened

I will attempt to “give hell” if they don’t resolve Doddsgate and/or manage to get a decent replacement in.They have made mistakes for sure but I don’t have an issue with their intentions and any club can get a managers appointment wrong. They now have to address this successfully.

They have made swift changes and the embers of Ainsworth Wanderers are fading away but I accept that it was only a matter of time before this legacy died and change doesn’t sit well with some.

Ultimately if they manage to influence a change to success on the pitch 90% of fans won’t give a hoot that the owner doesn’t come to matches or whether Rice did or didn’t manage Bloomfield out of the club.

If they fail and we languish(or worse) I will be happy to fly out and have a word in the owners shell,if you front up the flight costs and those for the detective. Currently I am confident that the future will still be bright so I will keep my powder dry.

I first read that as it was the use of the word “that” triggering covid, which would be worrying!

The best days on the gasroom are when people over analyse single word throwaway comments.

I wonder if they have a replacement lined up. Strange to wait until Thursday to announce unless they have a plan.

Obviously I’m just speculating but assume SG will be taking / has been taking training for the 1st team.

Proud of the club if we’re making the call and not holding on until it’s too late and we end up in a relegation battle.

I think we are already in a relegation fight, we just don’t know it yet.

Whoever comes in still has a lot to do to energised the squad and turn things around.

They’ll need at least 10 games …
