The U18s result against Wimbledon is still blank but the fixture now has a status of “Discipline”, which probably means one of the teams could not fulfill the fixture. We will find out in due course.

Both youth teams have big cup games tomorrow.

The U16s travel to West Ham United U16s in the JPL Knockout Trophy QF. To get to this round, the Hammers have beaten Luton Town 5-0 (H), Stevenage 4-3 (H) and Procision Oxford 5-1 (A). West Ham play in the “Purple” league, the Chairgirls are in the “Pink” league, I’m not sure which is higher ranked if “Red” is top. Stevenage and Luton are in the Chairgirls’ league, the former are one of the leaders and have taken four points from us in the two games, we drew at their place last week. We have yet to play Luton who are one of the strugglers. Based on that form guide, it should be a close game tomorrow. Kick-off and venue unknown.

The U18s play their Knockout Cup game next week. Tomorrow they complete their Berks & Bucks Invitational Cup group stage games, away to Peterborough United. The top two play-off in the final so we just need a point, with our superior goal difference. Kick-off is listed as 10:00, which is early for a trip of that length. Venue is unknown.

I will take that draw between the Royals and the Sirens. Portchy were always going to win today, they have dropped the same number of points as us but have a lot of games to play, and still have to face Reading, Southampton Women and Flyers. Our two games against Portchy will be key, it’s very much in our hands, but getting a win at Southampton next Sunday is all that matters now.

How come Portchester have so many games in hand having only played 9 times?
If WW3 are playing the twice, presumably home and away, how does that fit with your comment that all their home league games have now been played?

Alan, Portchester played five FA Cup games this season, getting to the Third Round when they lost 5-0 to Ipswich at home. Their home ground at Cranleigh Road, which they share with the men’s team, has a grass pitch and has suffered badly this winter from the rain, which has caused some postponements. So the backlog has built up and you can see how sticky the pitch is in the video of the men’s home game last week - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkS7OJZcSek, but they are hoping to install a 3G pitch this summer.

All home league games at Burnham have been played, the remaining home league game is at Adams Park against Portchester, the day after Luton at home. Sadly, another ‘promised’ game at AP could not be fitted in.

Thanks Steve.
I temporarily forgot about the game at AP which I even put into the recent WWST newsletter :man_facepalming:

I hope that Portchester can fit all their remaining games in!

Congratulations to Sophie Harvey who has been called up to the England Futsal squad for UEFA Euro qualifiers in Lithuania later this month. Sophie is having a great season for us at right back.
