Wycombe Wanderers Women

The U18s did play that knock-out cup game against Epsom & Ewell on Saturday and won 6-2. They now host QPR in the Quarter-Finals, in theory on 28 February but that is the day the U18s travel to Peterborough United in their important final Berks & Bucks group match. I believe county cup cup games take precedence over all other fixtures, so we will see.

Peterborough is a long way from Berks or Bucks!

The old world order is crumbling.

A full set of fixtures this weekend, and both youth teams will be very busy until the end of the season.

Tomorrow, in just their their third JPL league match, the U16s are at home to Stevenage who are challenging at the top with six wins and one defeat. A 3pm kick-off on 3G at Jubilee Park, Reading Road, Henley-on-Thames RG9 4HA. This a town council maintained facility.

Also tomorrow, the U18s host Fulham in the JPL League. The Cottagers beat the Chairgirls 4-2 in the reverse fixture in November and are one of the top teams. They managed to draw 2-2 at the impressive Crystal Palace U16s. Kick-off 10am at the 1878 Stadium, Burnham.

On Sunday, the Firsts are at home to Beaconsfield Town in the League Cup Quarter-Final, more to come on that.

Interesting news this morning of a goalkeeper loan signing.

From the Spurs U19 pages:

"Erin Radbourne joined us at Under-16 level from MK Dons ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

In her first season with the Club, she played 18 times for the Under-19s in all competitions, 13 of those in the Professional Game Academy League, and played a crucial role in their run to the Capital Cup Semi-Final, including a penalty shootout heroics over QPR in the second round of the competition.

She also joined Chesham United on a dual-registration in January, 2025, where she featured regularly at FA Women’s National League level for around two months before returning to the Club.

In April, 2025, Erin was involved in a WSL matchday squad for the first time as she was named amongst the substitutes for our trip to Liverpool."

Erin has made five appearances this season for Chesham. This is an interesting signing as Axelle has been doing a fantastic job between the sticks, given that she is primarily an outfield player. Lucia Delves was first choice at the start of the season but got injured and Robyn Cullen is also in the squad and has performed extremely well when called upon.

W3 have also this morning formally announced right back Lauren Drewett, who has already made four appearances.

Another new signing announced in the past few minutes.

Amelia is a striker and has made three appearances for Ashford Town (Middx) this season, in tier 5 London & SE Premier (edit - and also Carshalton Athletic this season in the Surrey Premier). Last season she played for Iowa Lakes College in the USA, previously she spent two seasons at Ascot United where she scored two goals for the Yellawomen in the 4-2 win against the Chairgirls at Burnham, in February 2024.

Today’s other results and latest table.

Farnham Town came from two down to lead Portchy, but it ended 3-3 and Farnham went out on penalties. If they do the same as the previous round and keep the draw layout, we will be playing Portchester in the semi-final, venue to be drawn. That would mean Flyers play Reading in the other tie.

A shock in the league with Woodley winning at Oxford City, with an added time goal.

A change in our fixtures, Badshot Lea at home on 22 February has been changed to Southampton Women at home, in the league.

Next fixtures for the Firsts, looks like Badshot away has changed to home.

15 Feb - Badshot Lea (H) - League - 14:00
17 Feb - QPR (H) - CCL Cup - 19:45
22 Feb - Southampton Women (H) - League - 14:00

It occurs to me that Badshot is not a great name for a football team

Badshot Lea would be even worse…if your name is Lea
