Thanks Bobby, shame, but given Millwall’s great record this season, it sounds like we gave them a good game.

Today’s other results and table.

The Rams did us a big favour, equalising in the 90’ against Portchester. It was 2-2 when the Flyers scored the winner at the Sirens.

This now means that the Flyers can still overtake us by one point, Portchester by three points, but we still have to play Portchester and we have a much better goal difference. They can still make that up but a win at their place puts us in a very strong position with them. Flyers are the concern but they still have to play Portchester at home, and others. Best not to think about all the permutations, just win our last two games! Onto Badshot away next week.

Thanks for that @Heisenberg, a good watch, it’s been a long time since the last one. The first item is that second half at AP, when Chesham captain Tasha Smith snapped her ACL, and remarkedly played on for a bit in that match. She does speak well and I hope she is back to full fitness and playing next season. The second segment, at 9:15, has an interview with their latest captain Jenny Nagle, the fourth one this season due to injuries. She also speaks well and also had an ACL injury when younger, which was not operated on for a year. Of course our Danielle suffered the same this season and has been operated on. Others in our squad have had long term injuries this season. I believe female footballers are prone to different injuries to men, are ACLs one of those? It would be interesting to hear more about that.

Chesham Women are already relegated from the National League and are likely to be in our division next season. I hope we will not be playing them, if you know what I mean.

A great set of results today! If the Chairgirls win at Portchester in two weeks time then Portchester can only draw level on points, but they have a far worse goal difference. Flyers would not be able catch us. We still have to win that game.

Edit - got that wrong, a win at Portchester would mean they cannot catch us, so a win would seal the title.

The Firsts have no game next Sunday but they are at Burnham this Thursday, in the Combined Counties Cup Quarter-Final against Watford Development. Kick-off 7:30pm.

If I’ve read the table right, a draw would mean that either* Portchester or Winchester could go level on points with us, but not exceed our total. So in that case, it would mean that one of them would need to haul back the goal difference to take the title from us.

*not both, as they have to play each other.

This is true @robenson but, apart from their game against Portchester, the Flyers have remaining fixtures against Badshot, Sholing and Fleet, all lower half teams with nothing but their pride to play for. The Flyers did put 12 past Woodley last month, it is possible for them to make up 30 goals, unlikely I know. As for Portchester, they have seven games to make up 37 goals which includes two games against Reading, who have only conceded one more goal than us, and Oxford City who are no pushovers. It will be all about winning that last game at Portchester, nothing else will be in the Chairgirls’ minds.

Due to reorganisation higher up, there is a second promotion spot available, to the second placed team in tier 5 with the best PPG record. As things stand, that spot will not be going to the Southern Region.

Both youth teams are in action tomorrow.

The U16s travel to Haringey Borough in the league, who beat the Chairgirls 4-1 at Burnham last month. Haringey will finish third and are on a five match winning run. Venue and kick-off unknown.

The U18s have a very attractive home match against league leaders Crystal Palace. Since they beat the Chairgirls 9-2 in January, the Eagles have been dropping points. Draws with Ascot United, Fulham and London City Lionesses, and a really surprising 3-0 defeat at lower half side Epsom & Ewell last time out. Kick-off 10:30 at The 1878 Stadium.

A really good win for the U16s considering they lost 4-1 to them five weeks ago.

Lillie had a good first half up front before she was taken off with four others at half-time, as the game situation needed our two top scorers in the match squad to come on.

She had a good game, very busy up front, chasing and pressurising defenders. She has a low centre of gravity and can dribble, and twist and turn quickly.

From her public LinkedIn profile, she is aiming to be a sports psychologist, especially within a football environment. She has work experience as a scout at Watford FC and has represented Reading RTC, QPR, London Football Talent Centre, Maidenhead Women and Berkshire County.
