Really well deserved, shame it came after the last home game so they couldn’t get the recognition of Adams Park.
Hopefully they can be celebrated at the first home game next season.
Certainly hope so; they deserve to be recognised by club & fans alike
Final observations:
the backs of Wycombe shirts will have standardised FAWNL Numbers and Letters
We will also be playing in the FAWNL Cup.
If anyone has Twitter (X), the FAWNL Has a twitter page: https://x.com/FAWNL
Great stuff and well deserved!
I believe so, the women have played them in the B & B, that’s all I think.
We will still be using the FA Full Time site for the National League, it has much more detail than https://womenscompetitions.thefa.com/.
These are the links for the divisions we will be in. I’m including the SW Division as Burnham FC is less than four miles due east from Maidenhead United FC. You never know with FA allocations, they sometimes spring nasty surprises.
Norwich City won their play-off game against Moneyfields yesterday, so are promoted from D1SE.
Yesterday’s results, latest table and remaining fixtures.
The Chairgirls await the result of Sutton United v Chatham Town on 12th May in the CCL Cup, and will travel to the winners w/c 18th May, with the Final at Cobham FC on Wednesday 27th May.
We’re often grouped with the SW clubs for fixture purposes aren’t we? I would’t be suprised if we’re placed in the SW.
Although, HST, i notice that Chesham have been relegated from the SE, so hopefully we’ll take their place.
Just from poking arond the FANWL website it seems like a big step up.
Huge step up, on and off the pitch. We’ve played a couple of tier 4 sides this season, and a tier 3 one in free fall, so we know what’s coming. Some sides get crowds of hundreds. Once the season is over I’ll put down some thoughts on the future of W3.
AFC Portchester won 5-3 at Reading last night in the league, HT 3-3.
Tomorrow the U16s play West Bromwich Albion Foundation in the JPL U16 Trophy Final. Venue is Corby Town FC, Steel Park, Jimmy Kane Way, Corby
NN17 2FB, with a 4pm kick-off.
Good luck to the Chairgirls, third time lucky with our finals this season.
Albion reached this stage as follows:
(Bye)
Kidderminster Harriers (H) W 3-2
Rugby Borough (A) W 6-1
She Can Play Panthers (H) W 3-0
York City (H) W 1-1, 2-1 pens
The Chairgirls’ path:
Hartland Girls Academy (H) W 5-4
Dragons Football Academy (H) W 8-1
Exeter City (H) W 8-6
West Ham Foundation (A) W 5-2
Worthing United (H) W 3-1
The U16s have been awarded a 3-0 win for the unplayed match against Oxford City on 18th April.
Tomorrow morning the U18s were due to face London City Lionesses Academy U16s at Burnham. The match has been cancelled, the Lionesses are unable to raise a team, surprising for Tier 1 Academy side. The Chairgirls will be awarded a 3-0 win.
W3’s president gives latest update
I had a chat with Bobby at the Spurs game. That is not the SRWFL trophy, no sign of that yet, just something one of the players brought along for their celebration.
