Former WWFC Footballers

I don’t remember Pearce even having much pace, but my recollection could easily be wrong.

Alex Hartridge released by Burton.

Seems harsh played 42 games for them last season. Maybe wages an issue?

Pearce was quite nippy, he started off as a winger, in his first spell in the late 70’s.

Certainly won’t be remembered for his ability during his short stay. But had the finest nickname of any WWFC player in ‘Cock Piss’ !!

Steven Craig departs Gala Fairydean Rovers after four and a half years to join up with Gareth and co.

“I am delighted to get it done. It came out of the blue. I got the call two or three weeks ago asking if I would be interested and it sort of snowballed from there. I can’t wait to get started. The chance to go back full-time with the Gaffer, Dobbo and Watesy was too good to turn down.”

The gaffer will get it right next season with his own management team and players.

Had a look at their forum, if you go back on their Assistant Manager thread, someone puts forward the idea of Blooms becoming Ainsworths number 2, and eventually succeeding him in charge.

And you thought we went mental over summer.

Good to see Gaz and Dobbo are getting some backing despite a disappointing second half of the season.

I’m sure with their own people in place they will have a decent season.

This is interesting. I always think of Steven Craig as the player that went public to the BFP about the players not being paid their bonuses during the Trust-ownership days - and how it might lead to a strike. I thought at the time that the comments were probably sanctioned on the sly by Gareth… clearly he bears Steven no hard feelings, at the very least.

Alex Hartridge has signed for Argyle

Not sure what he was doing last season but that’s a brave move. He must have real faith in Gaz turning it round next season.

Exeter and now Plymouth - he is brave!

I can think of four players who have played for Wycombe, Exeter and Plymouth. Anyone care to try to name them (and perhaps others). Answers Thursday lunchtime

Stonebridge

Dan Scarr?

Joel Grant

I know Guy Branston was Torquay, Bristol Rovers, Plymouth and us but no Exeter.
