January window - go/stay, sign

The amazing thing is, get this window right and the season is still salvageable.

I hope you are right but it seems a tall order right now @Barneysmith.

Might take all of January to get the right players in though.

And we’re all assuming there is a big body of work going on behind the scenes, there might not be.

I think there was a Duff BFP interview where he suggested they were trying, but it would be difficult. MLs wallet is very fat, should he decide to open it. We’re about to find out.

Or more likely there is, but it’s being done by the people who signed this shower of shit for millions.

I lolled.

Then realised it’s not much of a lolling scenario.

Don’t we need to be careful of FFP or whatever it is for League one?

We may be getting a big chunk of money when Anis Mehmeti joins a Premier League club in January, that may help balance the books with what we need to spend.

Not sure CB is a priority. Any money we have needs to be directed at Goalkeeper, Morley and TWO strikers.

And the goalkeeper shouldn’t cost us any money. Just a lot of humility to convince Shamal to comeback from his successful loan.

We do but remember the Kone sale basically cleared most of the last 18months of purchases.

And isn’t there a rule that if your owners invest in infrastructure they can whop a high percentage of that into the squad too?

Yes that is right, I think it was 60%

A lot of posters hoping for a productive January transfer window. Duff has already commented numerous times on how big the squad is. So we are going to have get rid of quite a few. Loanees back not a problem but who is going to take the rest of the dead wood, Fink, Tilley, Back etc

FC Jenis

FC Penis.

Cockermouth FC

Aside from the tantalising prospect of Morley, Im finding it very hard to get excited by the window.

Memories of all the interesting, unknown signings last year, many of which have been damp squids, and ultimately ruined the season, are still too fresh in the mind

Squids, as a marine life form, are ipso facto always damp, except when served on a plate as calamari.

A damp squib is a firework which fails to ignite, and accurately describes some of those signings.

If the board think the live data on their data driven signings is good data then there is clear user error in the application of our data software. Though, we know that already. The ‘dataship’ group should absolutely be working overtime behind the scenes to rectify their cockup as well as move on and replace their useless and overpriced signings of the past 12 months.

Dodds ruined the season almost singlehandidly.
