January window - go/stay, sign

They’re just different types of footballer aren’t they? It can’t have been easy coming in under Dodds, instructed to play to a strict plan and the team consistently struggling to do it successfully and as a result underperforming.

I hate to think of a player as arrogant and uncommitted, but it’s certainly one answer.

Have you seen a Taylor interview? He seems quiet, shy and timid. He might be poor but I don’t get the impression he’s arrogant. If anything, the complete opposite.

He’s not completely absolved of accountability but I doubt it’s escaped C. Taylor’s attention that he’s having a rotten time since his move and that’s likely affecting his performances.

On what we’ve seen he’s a very average CB at this level but he didn’t set his ludicrous price tag to exit the laughable Gas, now freewheeling their way back to the National League.

This. Casey comes across as totally committed to the cause and to his own self development. His improvement from the beginning of the season certainly proves that.

I ended up chatting to a guy on the way back to the station from the Leyton game at the start of the season who turned out to be Casey’s cousin. He said he was rather pleased he didn’t have to travel up to Scotland most weekends to follow him anymore!

I haven’t. I’m just thinking out loud here.

Arrogance? From being a key player in a woeful relegated outfit?

He looks the absolute opposite to me - scared of his own shadow and for a big lad doesn’t at all know how to bully his opponent.

The idea of us jumping in with 500k for a centre back anyway is mad - but 500k on this centre back is so upsetting it’s just unreal.

Do we still have volunteers working for free does anyone know? Stirling work by them yes, but they must look at us banging 500k on average players and think hmmm why am I saving the club £15-20 an hour for!

Kiefer Moore injured yesterday for Wrexham. Sam Smith came on and unlikely to go out on loan or be sold in this window

Our greatest team were mostly Christians who had weekly bible study sessions under Akinfenwa. One of the squad only joined us because he prayed to god for a sign and saw a swan,

not that he’d ever get to hear it in person I guess, but is that our chant for him?

Are these figures real? I know they cost a few quid, but those sums are insane.

2025 has not been a vintage year but I look forward to the young ones winning the B&B and the older ones…well, who knows? I’m sure we’ve got a hot under-21 prospect from Cercle Brugge lined up to get the pulses racing.

I’m doing dry January, but I’m going to make up the difference in sausage rolls .

Impossible to get accurate info, but these are the numbers that have been thrown around. Altho it’s the first time i’ve heard we paid 1M for Fink.
