January window - go/stay, sign

I think it all depends on wage budget. If we need to cut people loose (like Berry or Tilley) then I think Rice will be happy to do so.

You’re going to have to explain that to me?

James Berry = Flopped at WWFC, now on loan at Chesterfield

Luke Berry = Charlton Midfielder

Chuck Berry - under the bus and send James back North.

Hopefully we won’t get another Dewberry!

Tom Lockyer has now signed for Bristol Rovers.

Fair play to him, I think he’ll be an amazing signing for them!

We should pay some dollar out to Matt Berry to voice over posts on this thread.

Enjoying his exquisite deliver-ah would at least give us some incentive to read 2 months more of samey posts.

I had a meeting in a private members club in Fitzrovia once and Matt Berry was the voice in the lift announcing the floors. 10/10

I think the Dion Charles shout by glasshalfempty is a good shout now Duff is in charge as he signed him for Huddersfield. Dions had a rough time of it over there and whist he may have lost a little pace after his injury still chases down defenders and will score goals given the chance. I don’t think Grant has given him much chance though I don’t expect him to last much longer in charge so a move in January would be a good shout. He’s only 30 and still has much to give. A number would take him back to the Reebok but we don’t really need him so he’s in a bit of a pickle. I think he’ll definitely be up for grabs in January and wherever he goes will I’m sure want to restore his reputation. He’ll probably be on a free too or at worst loan.

Can’t we get Nick Berry? He’d be the heartbeat of the side.

I’m with @Rasputin when he said ā€œI am already struggling this season with not having much of a personal connection to many of the players. I fear this would be even greater if we go and have yet another churn of playersā€.

We are a ā€˜nation of strangers’ at the moment. Let’s see how Duff moulds the squad until Xmas and see who looks spare to move on in Jan.

The boss will want to bring in one or two…that’s human nature.

Why do I always think ā€œwho’s disputin rasputinā€ when ever seeing his name?

Must be from a song or something.

I would definitely sign O’Connell (Wrexham), obviously now a free agent.

What is Taylor Richards like? CM, Ex Man City, went to Brighton for £2.5m, scored 10 in 40 games for Doncaster during a loan spell and was recently released by QPR in September.

I was thinking yesterday that this might be the hardest squad to like since Peter Taylor stocked us full of criminals and supplement shills. Not because the players are unlikeable, but god we’re missing the character test.

In all the years of Fred being in a Wycombe shirt, I feel like he has never connected with the fans. His body language always seems as if he doesn’t really like football, and he never gives anything back to the fans. At WImbledon away, when he got subbed, he walked off behind the goal infront of the Wycombe fans chanting his name - he barely acknowledged us from all of 10 yards away.

Maybe it is just the way he is, but I can’t work him out.

Neither could Roosken who was taken off after 60 mins.

I think he shy’s away from fan involvement to protect himself more when things are not going so well. He’s very much a confidence player and I suspect Duff will be the type of manager to bring that confidence and give him the right assurances to let him flourish.

He’s got this slightly innocent childish smile/smirk when things are going well, saw it yesterday after his belter.

A happy Fred is a real asset in League One and though he doesn’t engage greatly with us fans that’s fine by me.

He did on Saturday. The terrace was chanting his name when we had a corner after his goal and he clapped the fans in appreciation.

You are not wrong though.Generally he looks like he doesn’t want to be there.
