sadly
I found what Duff said about him interesting, something about him doing something they didnāt like.
I would have Casey over Taylor though.
Love Duffās interviews. Always very interesting and insightful. His disagreements with prior managers with Fred āhaving been told he canāt play Saturday-Tuesday regularly - itās nonsenseā. Seems like heās really getting the best out of Fred, which I think is quite hard to achieve. Says a lot about Duffās capabilities. Top manager.
Anders is gradually becoming my favourite player.
Itās definitely one of the worst calls weāve seen at Adams Park.
There was still a chance by the time the other Wycombe player in shot gets to the ball, let alone if Fred hadnāt been knocked.
A pal has taken her 4/5 year old kid the last 2 home games.
What a brilliant start to his Wanderers career! Two wins, 6 goals!
Casey definitely deserves to keep his place after the weekend.
But the EFL cup game might be the way to do so, then bring Taylor back in the week after.
But Anders should definitely get a run now. He looked physically more at it yesterday too, winning more headers as well as the not in doubt ball playing.
Just let it go @James , we are all bored to death with it.
Agreed on Anders, but what happens when Taylor Allen is fit again? Both clearly favour the left centre back role, and both are (probably) our best CB options.
I think just go for a Allen Anders Pair
I donāt think that would work (or, to put it another way, I think that wouldnāt work).
Sounds like a mascot package for Xmas is on the cards.
Any idea when Allen is due back?
Absolutely agree.
It could easily be argued that had Duff been in charge since the start of the season weād be top on 30 points now, such is the improvement. (Based on form since Duff joined and applying it to the earlier matches).
As it is weāre trending towards 87 points at the moment which over the last 4 seasons equals a 3rd or 4th place finish.
And almost certainly better form for ending the regular season to go into the playoff.
Itās simply on Anders to show heās the man for the left sided centre back role.
Allen feels like the hardest player to fit into our line-up to me. His best position seems to be left side of a back 3, but we donāt now play that.
His strengths arenāt as pronounced in a back 2, maybe not as dominant in the air as youād like compared to others. And at times heās almost played as a left winger for us - but you canāt leave Harvie out and youāre not going to play Allen instead of Bell in this formation.
Luckily thereās loads of games to get the āmainā 16 or so players regular games.
Itās an interesting one. You quite often see a right footer at left centre back but I donāt remember seeing too many left footers at right centre back. Might just be due to the ratio of right footed to left footed.
I still think Taylor gives us some balance and is probably our best aerial defender.
It looked like he was involved with the team on Saturday so Tuesday Iād expect.
For our fourth goal, two defenders were closer than Bell to the ball when Donnell shot but Bell anticipated the loose ball and sprinted past them both to score.
ā⦠Iām loving Anders instead⦠ā
A must-sing for Vale Park next week.
āI just wanna feel real love
For the team that Iām watchin
'Cause we had too much talent
Under Mike Dodds, going to wasteā
