No Taylor crossed on the floor against the flanks. It went straight out, thankfully.
Cook was immense again today - That poor pass was Harvie, I was directly in line with it on that side of the pitch !!
Much better second half but we still lack a final outlet up front. Maybe Tezgel in time but we need older competition
I think it was more a case of Plymouth tiring after having put so much into the first half and our realisation that we could be a lot more physical with almost complete impunity.
Just got home and deliberately haven’t read other comments that might skew my thoughts.
We played well throughout other than the period in and around them scoring. As MD hinted at post-match, we overplayed a bit and lacked a cutting edge through the middle but his subs had an impact on the game and came at the right times. C. Taylor turned into Maldini after his goal, amazing what a confidence boost can do.
We’re still a work in progress but there are some good signs. If the game was only played in the middle third we’d be champions by Christmas.
To be fair, I felt guilty about Duff telling the lads they had wasted 11 months of their lives because I was no longer making unfunny quips about them on the Gasroom. I may be misremembering the exact quote, but something along those lines.
The “careful what you wish for” klaxon just sounded…
In time that Duff quote might join the all time classics of “that goal changed nothing”, “I’ve done my budget” and “don’t worry about the money”.
I thought Hartridge was immense for them today, I don’t recall him reaching that level with us, but I may be wrong ?
(Writes “Famous Wycombe Quotes” for next summer’s voting tournament).
“Silly little dream” a bit more of a positive one.
He had a good 1:1 battle with Fred and put some work in. Dunno if I’d call him immense but he looked more capable than he did for us. I’d be worried if I were a Plymouth fan, relying on his long throws for creative juice.
Hartridge is a good player but was in and out the side for Joe Low and Caleb Taylor. When he played he was rusty you could see he was a talented footballer.
‘Possesion can do one’
Harvie had a really poor game in my opinion. He seemed to lose focus & gave the ball away too many times for his normal high standards.
Junior should not be starting and I’m starting to question his position in the team. While he can have moments of brilliance like Tuesday night, today he just wasn’t there at all, offside 3 or 4 times in the first half and looked scared to take Hartridge at Leftback.
We really need backup wingers as well as a striker. Thomas ran himself into the ground and complete cramped up. Fred was struggling midway through the half.
Fink comes on for Dundee…25 minutes to score a goal…
That new screen outside the beer tent is absolutely sensational
He just won a header.
