a champion of paint drying clearly
Saw the news and headed straight to this thread.
It took me to post 1 - which was glasshalfempty trying to argue that Dodds’ start was better than Ainsworth and Bloomy’s!
Ignoring that Doddsy took over a red hot outfit top of the league and Ainsworth certainly didn’t. Bloody picking up from a playoff chasing Ainsworth side a closer comparison.
But anyway - what a strange meeting of worlds, Bloomy and Doddsy!
There’s an ideal opportunity here to raise money and make Stig Westergaard’s Tifo dream a reality by selling the Doddsfather banner to Oxford.
It’s weird as FCUK!!
Could Oxford want to be us any more if they tried??
We also have to reckon with the fact there’s a tiny possibility that Blooms recommended Dodds for the Wycombe job…
It’s certainly a cataclysmic moment.
One way or another.
Don’t do it…we already have a rabid collection of bitters. Don’t give them more reason!
They will prob need to groundshare with us when their lease expires on their 3 stand stadium and their new one hasn’t been built yet!
At least their management will know how to get to our ground!
I think you mean glasshalffull
I’ve just seen Matt Bloomfield heading down the M40 at the Beaconsfield services on his way to resign his position. Leaving agent Mike Dodds in charge ![]()
Does some damage to The Narrative whichever way you look at it.
But I don’t think it’s very likely.
It’s all going to end in disaster if the Dodds s**t show is involved. 26/27 Oxford away anyone?
Now that would make much more sense!
lol it’s a post for the ages
Dodds joins Bloomfield. Hilarious. You couldn’t make this shit up.
To borrow/adapt the latest Chelsea chant….
“We don’t care about Oxford
They don’t care about us
All we care about is light & dark blue”
Replace ‘Oxford’ as appropriate
Blooms & Dodds.
Meeting up. Like a ex-wives coffee morning.
Can you imagine their Wycombe gossip?
I would wish them the best of luck. But it’s Oxford.
I look forward to us taking 6 points off them next season x
Probably met at the same therapist, treating them for Danuard Syndrome.
Thankfully there are other clubs in the Thames Valley available to support the numerous sufferers of this devastating ailment.
What I’m taking from this is that Mike Dodds had moved into the area when he became Head Coach here and completely hedged his bets that he would be successful at Wycombe. I can’t imagine that his family would be happy with him travelling down from the North everyday and the fact that he was signed so soon after Matt became HC means he was prob in the area and ready to go
What i’m taking from this is that while i’m onboard with Agent Bloomfield’s objectives he needs to take a more subtle approach.
