Before removal. I assumed it was some Grok AI nonsense, unless someone at the PNL media team were having a bit of fun.
It all makes sense now. Dodds was MB choice of successor to take down Rice et al from the inside and blow the promotion on purpose.

On all seriousness, Good luck to both of them. Well, sort of. Success for them will mean success for Oxford. I’m not sure how to deal with those emotions.

I think for me the best case scenario is that MB does minimally well enough at OUFC so that he doesn’t get sacked for a couple of seasons, and preferably avoiding us into the process.
So in the far more likely scenario where we fail to go up this season, he can mount a “plucky” (cos I hear OUFC like that) campaign to narrowly but convincingly keep them up, if we come up then I’d prefer they went down, but had made a right good go of trying to stay up.
Don’t really want to play them whilst MB’s there, that’d be very weird. But I guess I’ve seen us against GA sides and survived.

If i point out that Blooms and Dodds have much more in common philosophically than Blooms and GA can we still be friends?
I think you’re right, but Bloomball was always reasonably pragmatic and aimed for a balance between actual football and hoofing/physicality.
Doddsball (as of the beginning of this season) aimed to ignore long balls and physicality altogether.
But yes, I don’t think either Bloomfield or Dodds would ever have come out with the classic “Possession can do one” line.
I think a stint as Blooms assistant is the best thing for Dodds career. Although it’s all a bit bizarro-land isn’t it?
