Bloomfield at 10/1 for the PNL job. Wouldn’t that be extraordinary, Wycombe v Oxford with Bloomfield as their manager.:woozy_face:

He’s doing well to get linked to these jobs, but probably needs to get back in reasonably soon.

Anyone who could relegate Luton and PNL in successive seasons would truly cement himself in Wycombe folklore.

I know numerous PNL supporters got more miserable as the season went on and they want to move to a 30,000 stadium deluded. Be great if they struggle next season and we are pushing for promotion.

Watching Livingstone v Celtic

2-1 Livi

9 minutes gone. Celtic remind me of us.

Rice is probably eying up some of the defenders on show to sign in January!

Rock-bottom Port Vale (currently 10 pts from safety) sack Darren Moore.

You’d hope that they have someone already lined up given that the opening of the January window is imminent, as it’s not like Moore’s ever really looked like getting them out of trouble.

Names mentioned on their forum include Jon Brady (ex-Cobblers), GA, Darren Ferguson and Robbie Savage.

Sure Bloomfield will go for this as well.

Bloomfield linked to job autoresponder..

“That’d be a long commute”

Fast forward to 9:08 to see a touchline spat between GA and Col U’s Danny Cowley degenerate into a minor bench-clearing scuffle…

Looks like he’s recovered from his heart procedure then

Going to be fined for “Failing to control their players”, aren’t they?

An overdue update on Wishaw Wycombe Wanderers. This season, due to player availability, they moved from the being a Saturday afternoon team in the Caledonian League, to the Saturday Morning AFA, which now has three senior divisions, Premier, Championship and Division 1. Wishy were placed in the latter, which started off the season with 16 clubs but gradually reduced to 11, not before Wishy had beaten three of the withdrawers, Motherwell Albion (5-2), Greengairs (3-0) and Glynhill Moorcroft (6-1). Those results have been scrubbed, however Wishy have won all seven of their other matches so far, which includes a 2-1 win over Motherwell Phoenix, the current leaders.

Their only defeat was in the West of Scotland Cup, losing 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw, away at Annbank United. In the Strathclyde cup, at the end of January, they face a difficult home tie against Saturday Morning Premier leaders Drumchapel United , who have won all their league games. Most excitingly they have come through four rounds in the Scottish Amateur Cup and host Crosshouse Waverley in the Fifth Round (last 32) on 10 January, their next match. Crosshouse are second from bottom in the Ayrshire Premier League.

Pictured in their their first strip, second one is is light and dark blue halves and dark blue shorts. “Wee Dec” is midfielder Declan Docherty who was called up to the Scottish AFA National Squad for an inter-squad match.

So far this season Wishy have used six different venues for home matches, in the Motherwell and Wishaw area. Fixtures and results are posted on their Twitter account (/x.com/Wishaw_WW_AFC) and there is more news and videos on https://www.facebook.com/Wishaw.WW/.

I am going to try very hard to see them play before the end of this season!

Maresca has departed from Chelsea

That is sooo Chelsea isn’t it.

Nothing another 3-4 70-100m attackers won’t sort.

You win the Club World Cup beating PSG 3-0 in the final six months ago and currently lie 5th in the Premier League and that’s not good enough! Madness.

The BBC suggests this is his decision due to off field stuff rather than the club saying results aren’t good enough.

Even so, it’s pretty poor

Random little story from Pilkington v Burscough today.

Was absolutely freezing, so wrapped up and just grabbed my Wycombe hat. At half time a young lad (he’s 14) said to his Mum it is a Wycombe hat. Turns out he follows us and has done for about 6 years. Had a good chat with him for about 15 mins. Very knowledgeable and goes to some of the local away games, but hasn’t been to a home game yet. He lives in Prescot which is only 10 mins or so from mine.

Exchanged details with him Mum, be great to bring them a home game in the future.

I was in Prescot on Wednesday, small world

That’s amazing. Sounds a bit like you, all those years ago.

Got myself an invite to watch Boston United yesterday from one of the sponsors against Eastleigh.

The new ground is 5 years old and they are in the process of building the South Stand (Away) and are including a Sports hub at the back of the stand.

The ground will hold just over 5000 once the South stand is finished and the main stand inside and out is very impressive.

Boston lost 2-1 with our very own Aaron Pierre playing in the centre of a back three for Eastleigh.

Great little ground and well worth a visit if you are in Lincolnshire.
