Not quite, Slough County Court is more my thing.
Absolutely. If the new pitch at Harlington cost £1.5m (I’m sure I read that somewhere at the time) last year then all the pitch and construction work at Marlow Road must surely be £3-5m.
I see it’s silly season again on the forum. Matt Butcher was poor in almost every game he featured in for us. Rightfully left out of the squad when we had a midfield triangle of Morley, Scowen and Humphreys. Went on loan to Bristol Rovers and went on a shocking run of form and they ended up relegated. Here are Butcher’s key defensive stats as percentiles compared to other League 1 midfielders.
He won’t be here next season. He’ll be at one of three clubs.
- Newly promoted L1 side
- Low budget relegation threatened L1 side as a rotation option (eg. Exeter)
- League 2 side
A spell away from the team while it’s not doing so well has always done wonders for reputation. Similar to people now championing the Danes as if Pre-season fixes all.
Don’t disagree around Butchers form but needs must and I think he probably would have started in the Charlton games if the loan laws allowed it.
Our best players presumably will only go if their contracts ends or we get very good bids, of the rest it needs hard interest from elsewhere or nobody goes or even accepts pay offs. Gaz isn’t going to swoop for every player we don’t want and the reality for players not regularly appearing in L1 can be part time / conference or getting a “proper” job.
You’re still a card and no mistake (despite trading in Tommy for Adebayo).
I’d be interested to see what loans happen. If Rice is all about stats James Scanlon would be an option, two footed AM who can play either side or through the middle and has 22 goals/7 assists in 33 games across Man Utd’s youth teams this season - 87 mins per goal involvement. Developed a knack for ghosting into goalscoring positions unnoticed. For some reason Amorim doesn’t want to use him despite playing a bunch of academy players, so a loan is probably going to happen this summer. Could use a creative spark at Wycombe.
remind me of the other man united player we got? he worked a treat haha they are playing for that level for a reason …we need proven winners
Tbf at least this one has senior football experience already. Mellor was completely untested aside from 3 games at Salford.
Maybe Dodd’s links to Sunderland could prove beneficial. They must have some decent players who will be even further from the first team now they are in the Prem and would jump at the chance of reuniting with Dodds, helped by a recommendation from O9
how the fuck have MK Dons managed to sign Mendez Laing! they will walk the league
That’s a fantastic signing. Dropped down 2 leagues. Clearly wanted to be reunited with Paul Warne.
And the two loan players that we have had from Manchester city in the past. They were both rubbish.
Looks like Ronaldo is a free agent shortly… He’d look good in the quarters.
I’ll grab my coat.
Rumours on X is that Chem Campbell is on his way back to AP…
Really hope not. Dreadful last loan spell at our club and he really couldn’t have looked more disinterested if he tried.
But maybe the data suggests he really does care.
if this signing happens then we really have zero ambition , would be a pathetic signing.
Btw this rumour is being spread by one of the presenters of that “Heroes of HP12” podcast who is a well known wind up merchant.
And a board member of the trust.
their podcast should be callled Leahy Lovers of HP12.
