Right footed, but as a Centre-Back, surely that shouldn’t affect what side he plays? If he was a left back, who was right footed, that might be more of a problem?

If I recall correctly, Josh Knight demonstrated his versatility while he was at Peterborough, playing in midfield as well as centre back. Not in the Aaron Morley category when it came to expressing his love for our football club but a consistent (and now extremely experienced) player.
I’ve just had a look back at his season on loan with us. He won both the Players’ and the Supporters’ Player of the Season awards. He also went on to play 36 games in the Championship with Peterborough. Quite a coup to get him back. Bit of a statement.

Connell over Leahy is such a massive upgrade ..Leahy could do a job at bottom end league 1 team not a promotion chasing one, he seems like a top guy but just not good enough for our ambitions

I agree with this .
While that potential source might be rubbish, surely agents always know the ball park figure potential wage on offer from the buying club.
Otherwise you’d have a lot of wasted time shillly shallying around only to find they can’t afford you later on.
Just catching up. But, surely every club has an idea of what wages are wanted, after a chat with the agent. All very off the cuff kind of chats.

They may well do . Agreeing terms means exact amounts and length of contract etc . To my knowledge this never happens before an agreed fee . having agreed personal terms means agreeing all of that, not just having an idea of what your wage may be .
