Not a hope. Look at clubs like Sheff Wednesday, they have a madness of a chairman, dont pay playet. Yet still attract players and managers. Same at Hull, and many others.
A new ownership group, falling out and removing a manager, will barely raise a ripple in footballing terms. Only so many clubs available, even less with rich backers.
I could see this happening. I’ve had a feeling since Dodds came in that we would look for a beanpole centre forward. Not necessarily a bulldozer, but someone who can reliably win headers, produce knock downs and act as a pivot upfront, as well as having the stride length and stamina to press defenders on own.
Interesting. I am eagar to see which obscure Scandi players we actually spend our money on. I know Dan is pretty safe but suspect this might be a make or break window for him…
Surely the justification for recruiting overseas players was briefly part of a wider plan to lure someone from overseas to be Head Coach. That moment has long since passed, presumably. Why complicate things when there is such a wealth of homegrown talent out there?
Danes, schmanes. Where are the Khazak lads? Surely the home office mandarins and politicians have got the brown envelopes and have tipped the wink to Lomtadze that the rubber stamp for any necessary paperwork is inked and ready?
If we don’t have have an Ospanov in midfield on opening day, I for one, will be disappointed.
Wait… Didn’t we have someone like this before? Not so much a beanpole but a very big presence upfront to do this exact job and helped us get to the Championship…
If we sign any more Scandi players, they will arrive in peak conditioning as their season is several months in now, only fear is that they’ll burn out towards the end of our season?
Limited validity. Reads like a football manager game report. A few glaring errors. Apparently, Sonny Bradley has shrunk from 6 ft 5 in to 6 ft. Youthful exuberance.
