And going up automatically was an amazing opportunity.
That has gone…
Would you have rather:
Luton stayed up and Wycombe stayed down?
Or Luton went down and Wycombe went up?
Luton stayed up and Wycombe went up, silly.![]()
Are they the only choices?
Would you have rather
MK Dons get promoted and Wycombe get promoted
Or MK Dons go out of existence and Wycombe stay down
Is it safe to assume that, in your last paragraph, “next year” refers to the next few months?
Asking for a friend.
That’s certainly true
Move on
obviously if they lose the next match, they’re out ![]()
If you had a button and if you pressed it you would get a million pounds but someone somewhere that you didn’t know would die would you press it?
If it was Putin then yes.
Easiest question ever. I would rather MK Dons go out of existence and Wycombe stay down
That would make it easy, strangely enough when I posed this question to colleagues at work quite a few were prepared to press the button and didn’t understand the implications.
How many times can I press it?
The sad twist is that I’d end up with more money tham Lommy but would starve to death as my shattered wrists couldn’t put food in my mouth.
Like all of us, I’m not getting any younger. I also have friends and strangely enough none of them are getting any younger. Let’s just say most of us are well into senior citizen bus pass territory. Some of my friends are quite poorly but continue to come along when they can.
A lot of my friends have followed this wonderful club from around the time when television was in black-and-white and you could go and watch the Beatles at Hammersmith Odeon for about five bob.
We’ve got to a position in the Football hierarchy that most of us could only dream about back in the 60s 70s and 80s. Of course in 2020 we climbed to the unbelievable height of the second tier in English football. The dream of watching us playing that division was cruelly taken away by a virus. Instead of enjoying maybe just one amazing season in the championship we were forced to watch it on our TVs or iPads with the exception of two home games where the atmosphere was probably worse than watching it in your lounge.
Our chance had gone and maybe we would never get another chance to see us play at that level again. So be it.
Then we started this season on an absolute high we were playing amazing football and scoring goals for fun the dream of playing in the championship suddenly became a very solid possibility,Indeed I would even say a probability We now appear to have had that dream taken away not by a virus that we couldn’t control but by ridiculous internal politics.
Of course I may be wrong and we may yet get to the promised land by the end of this month But if we don’t, I feel a precious opportunity has been cruelly snatched away by people who just don’t get it.
This was the big chance. If we don’t go up , thanks for taking the dream away.
yes, I will be there on Sunday shouting chanting, and basically trying to get us over the line by force of will.
I know several thousand of us will be doing the same. I expect if we don’t go up the data crew will just look up on it as a blip on the computer screen. As I say they don’t get it.
Other opinions are of course available
Sorry data said no! Data means more than eyes.
Yes. That’s why we tried to sign him.
Oi were confused by the reference to matches played in 02/03 and 03/04 but decided it was 22/23 and23/24. Didn’t think he was quite that old.
