Both clubs won their first game with Reading beating Procision Oxford 9-0.
MK v U18s - 14:00, venue unknown.
Again, both teams had wins in the opener, MK won 4-1 at Peterborough United.
On Sunday the Firsts travel to Newport Pagnell Town in the B & B. I’m looking forward to going to that, preview by Saturday evening.

In the Southern Region Premier today, Sholing won 4-1 at Badshot Lea and Southampton Women’s and AFC Portchester drew 2-2.
Two more cup games for us before we get back to the league, the big one next Sunday at Burnham, Bridgwater in the FA Cup, and then Oxford City at home in the League Cup.
Nine games, nine wins so far this season, five of those in three cups. 47 goals scored, 8 goals conceded.

Although this is the second time we have come through the qualifying rounds to the First Round, the previous season being 2006-07, I am going to stick with saying this is the fourth time we have been in the competition proper. In 1991-92 we were in the Second Round (first three rounds played as mini-groups), and in 1994-95 in the First Round, both times with no qualifiers.

Portchester and Oxford City played tier 5 sides, Flyers tier 3. D1S side Farnham Town lost 0-8 to tier 7 Leyton Orient. The teams below us continue to jostle for position in the league. Next Sunday the Chairgirls host Oxford City in the League Cup.
Tomorrow, Saturday, the U16s play their first JPL league match when they host New Level Soccer, an academy with locations around the Southend-on-Sea area. They have played two games so far, homes wins against St Albans City (1-0) and Watford (6-0). An earlier kick-off of 10:00 at the 1878 Stadium, Burnham. That’s going to be an an early start from Essex.
The U18s are away in the JPL league to Epsom & Ewell Colts, who have played two having beaten London City Lionesses Academy 3-0 and drawn 3-3 with Plymouth Argyle (that’s a hell of a journey for this south east based group!). Kick-off 13:00 at Glyn School, Priest Hill Playing Field (3G), Reigate Road, Ewell, Epsom, KT17 3DS.

Tomorrow, Sunday, the Firsts are at home to Oxford City in the League Cup 2nd Round, comprising 32 teams. Six weeks ago the Chairgirls beat City 3-0 at Burnham in the league, a closer game than the score suggests, it was quite a battle decided by goals from Potter, Melton and Beaver. Since then City have drawn at Portchester in the league and won three FA Cup games, last Sunday beating Sherborne Town 4-2 at home in the 1st Round, with ex-Chairgirl Amy Leach scoring her first goal for her new club. The match was watched by 695, a record for the club, which will no doubt be beaten when they host Swindon Town in the 2nd Round. Top scorer Ellie White has bagged seven so far this season and Yasmin Edwards, suspended for the league match against the Chairgirls, has returned to the side and scored four so far. Kick-off 2pm at the 1878 Stadium, Wymers Wood Road, Burnham SL1 8JG.
The League Cup draw gives us a home tie against D1 South side AFC Varsity, who are based in Southampton.
In the Isthmian Women’s Cup, we have been drawn at home to Newmarket Town, a tier 6 side who have already beaten tier 7 Maldon & Tiptree, and tier 5 St Albans City.
In the Combined Counties Women’s Cup, we await the 3rd Round draw, probably later this month, after our 2nd Round opponents, Beaconsfield Town, scratched.
Tomorrow in the JPL, the U18s travel to Fulham who play their opening league game. Kick-off 10:30 at LSE Sports Ground (Pitch 1), Windsor Ave, New Malden KT3 5HB.
The U16s have no game this weekend.
Tomorrow, Sunday, the Firsts have a trip down the M3 to Winchester City Flyers in the league. After five consecutive cup games it is, perhaps, a welcome return to the most important competition. These games are usually entertaining, in the same fixture last season, also in November, the Chairgirls won 4-0 with all the games coming in the second half, a second consecutive hat-trick from Emani Kassem and one from Jess Watkins. Emani has yet to appear this season and is much missed, she is recovering from a serious injury and we hope to see her sometime this season. The return match at Burnham in April was frenetic to say the least, with the Flyers leading 2-0 and 3-2 before the Chairgirls went 4-3 ahead only for the Flyers to equalise on 90+2, and also have a player sent off in the final minutes.
The Flyers are having a good season, with three wins and one defeat in the league, 3-2 on the opening day at AFC Portchester. In the FA Cup they got through to the First Round and lost 4-0 at home to tier 3 Gwalia United, but are still going in the county and league cups. Top scorers are Chelsie Hay and Annie Northwood, both on five, and new signing, the very experienced Laura Vokes, has a very good left foot.
